NOTE: We've discovered some issues with earlier versions of Firefox. There is a confirmed echo issue with Firefox version 26. We recommend using the latest version of Firefox in order to avoid issues with echo.
Echoes and other audio quality problems can usually be solved by taking a few simple steps.
If you hear an echo on your call, there is most likely someone on the conference call that has a microphone placed near speakers that is causing feedback, a problem common on laptops. Inexpensive speakerphones can also sometimes cause the same problem.
For small calls: If you can identify who the person causing the echo is, ask that person to mute his or her line until they need to speak.
For large calls: It's recommend that everyone mute their lines when joining, and have participants unmute themselves when they need to speak.
Alternatively, using headphone has been demonstrated to reduce or eliminate most echo issues.
